登记日4:30开始,会议begins at 5:00 PM.

The conference will begin with science-themed get acquainted activities for the girls and possibly a tour for teachers and parents. All participants will convene for a keynote presentation. After the presentation, teachers and parents leave for the night, and the girls will have dinner in Pearsons Hall.

After dinner, the girls head to the Sanger Science Center for a fun sleepover with their new friends and the students of Beloit College, complete with liquid nitrogen ice cream and a film.

Saturday

Girls will investigate various aspects of science at several multi-disciplinary science stations, working with Beloit College faculty and students.

Teachers and parents will participate in a series of stimulating problem solving workshops and sessions devoted to issues of female-friendly science, encouraging middle school girls in science and mathematics, and fun,accessible lab experiments. Teachers attending the workshop will leave with materials to perform laboratory activities in their own classroom. To end the conference, the girls will present posters of their findings.

The conference ends at 3:30 PM on Saturday.
